videographer, and I went to school part-time majoring in Broadcast Communications. That's where I met Gary." "I, too, was going to school part-time and remember meeting Roger in a Media Aesthetics class we had together," recalls Tone Zone president, Gary Byron. "Actually, I sat right in front of him. He was a quiet guy who was simply there to learn. And how could you not learn when our professor was a director for TV shows like The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Rhoda, Different Strokes, and the movie, Dennis The Menace. Rog was captivated by this guy. To make a long story short, I ended up working on several projects with Roger. Some were for broadcast, others were these intense corporate videos, but we formed a friendship." A friendship that in one year's time would have Beaulieu working for Tone Zone as an event videographer. Beaulieu says, "Gary taught me |

everything about weddings and events. I'd learn by doing them for his clients for free. I must've done a dozen before I started to earn a salary, but there was a lot to learn about event structuring. Now I'm addicted!" Byron adds, "What I like most about Roger is that he doesn't just shoot weddings', he tells a story. He's earned his degree in Broadcast Communications, was taught by a respected Hollywood director, fully integrates theory in storytelling editing, has worked on several broadcast projects that are still aired or shown privately to this day, and in 2002 he won an award for Best Independent Film. My goodness, how could I not hire him!" Beaulieu concludes, "I've done over fifty weddings since 2005, though I've been a professional videographer since 1997. My style of work is to tell the story. I get to know my clients on a personal level so that their video [DVD] reflects their own personality. Never would I believe I'd be |

a wedding and event videographer, but I also wouldn't believe I'd love it. People call to request me over some who have been doing weddings for nearly twenty years! I'm so grateful for the opportunity." Currently, Roger Beaulieu lives in Cromwell, CT and enjoys baseball, football, and trips to see his family in Canada. He's a quiet guy who never likes to be the center of attention, yet has a great sense of humor. Tone Zone is proud to exclusively represent Roger Beaulieu and he may be booked for your event by calling our offices. |

While growing up in Terryville, CT, Roger Beaulieu had a creative imagination for as long as he can remember. "I loved movies. I remember watching them as a kid and wanting to interject different scenes; sometimes even wanting to shoot entire scenes differently... like making my own version of the movie. My dream was to someday work a camera for a Hollywood studio." Although that dream was never realized, in 2004, Beaulieu met a person who would change the course of his career. "It's hard to find a job as a movie maker in Connecticut and I couldn't afford to move. So I had a full-time job working as a restaurant manager, would freelance as a corporate and documentary |
