Miranda began his professional photography career in 1996 with the desire to work weddings, though chose not to make his living doing them. "I prefer to pace myself throughout the year. Weddings are long days and I enjoy them but I only want to do a few a month so I'm able to give each one a hundred percent." That high standard would lead him to work for J. Everett Photography and eventually for Tone Zone. "His high standard is actually how I met him. I needed an assistant for a wedding I was doing many years ago," remembers Joe Elwell, Senior Photographer for Tone Zone. "I remember going through all the photos getting them ready for my lab and didn't remember taking about one third of them. The photos were outstanding! I knew then and there that he wouldn't be an assistant for very long, so I hired him." Elwell's foresight was correct. Within one year Miranda would be

photographing weddings solo. Tone Zone president, Gary Byron agrees with Elwell and says, "I remember looking through the photos of Everett Photography and seeing Freddie's work. I told Joe, "Ya better hang on to this guy." When I finally worked a wedding with Freddie, I noticed him looking around the room for candid shots. I liked that. When Joe transitioned his company into mine I made him promise Freddie was coming over, too." Miranda concludes, "Coming to Tone Zone was a great move for Joe to make. I love working a wedding when the DJ, videographer, and I are all working as a team. I'm sure it's even better for the client."

Fred Miranda is a graduate of New York Institute of Photography. He is bilingual, fluent in both Spanish and English and currently lives in New Britain, CT with his wife Nika. When not photographing weddings, he enjoys capturing life's

everyday moments through a lens and has two photographs featured in the National Library of Photography. Recently Miranda's work caught the attention of a national magazine who licensed his photos for print. Tone Zone is proud to represent Freddie Miranda and he may be booked by calling our offices.

While you may come across those who claim to be a professional photographer, only a few have graduated from a photography school and even fewer choose to specialize in weddings. "That's because there's more prestige in working for a national magazine or a local publication," says Fred Miranda, a Tone Zone photographer who specializes in weddings. "But the truth is, people eventually throw magazines and newspapers away. Wedding albums last a lifetime... some photos even get framed and hung in family rooms for everyone to see. That's where I want my work to be!"
